New arrival...

Today this arrives in our home...and I am just tickled pink.

This weekend while camping, my old reliable phone took a sick turn of events and stopped working properly, things went haywire and it just came time to put her to rest...this would seem to have been a sign, as I truly come from the belief that one should really not have their cell phone whilst camping anyways, for reasons so obvious there is really no need to elaborate.
This no phone thing, put me in a place of disconnect (very cool place, I might add, where everyone should try visiting frequently), and the peace of mind that came from not knowing the time of day, or if calls were missed or text messages sent and such, was very freeing and calming.
Now, upon returning home, the search for a new phone has become a day long process, and it has started some thinking about all these new 'apps' for phones and photos...I started playing with a few pictures on the computer and have decided that it is time for a new phone/camera adventure.

I am excited to try some new phone photo experiments.

heading out to the sea...

when all else fails...ok, so when spring break comes around, what better place to go than seaside...we have loaded up our lovely 'Snits'and are heading for the ocean...

...to ride the tides, feel the breeze, connect with friends, and just be together...

blog randomness...

i have come to the conclusion, that i am a stumped blogger of late...by this, i mean that i have not been too certain what to post or share, i have been busy with new creations and doors that have opened to places that i really must explore, this has in part, kept me quite busy, not to mention keeping home and biz afloat...and at times it feels like days slip by and all that needs doing, barely gets done...and so, you say, that is life young lady, now move along. on yet, another random note...

our surroundings have such a huge impact on us, our work, our creative flows, attitudes, peace of mind, our whole being...really, and this old house in which we live needs some serious work, this is keeping me from feeling a lightness or freedom and so, this is a time to push forward through that and get to the other side, get it done, as overwhelming as it seems. i was thinking that maybe i will start to post progress and befores and afters, then maybe, just maybe, softly and creatively it will force me into the mode of completion, something to report and be accountable for...we shall see.a lonely, empty veg/herb planter...

Nobody Knows Me...

sometimes my heart just melts...family, friends, old pals, memories and wonderful heartfull thoughts of times now, past and to come... love this man and every single bit of music he has ever created..

lentil love...

yesterday i put some items in a pot, sauteed a couple vegetables then simmered...and today I served myself up a wee cup of love for lunch... i recommend that time be spent in the kitchen each day preparing something healthy (preferably in larger batches to enjoy for days to come) and sitting down to enjoy some comfort in a bowl to warm the soul.

Here are the ingredients, and I apologize for the lack of exact measurements, that is my cooking style, you can make to your liking/consistency:

soak approx. 1 1/2 cups lentils overnight

organic vegetable stock approx. 3 cups

curry powder mixed with stock to create a sauce like consistency

chopped cauliflower (approx 1 cup)

2 chopped scallions

sea salt

pepper

red pepper flakes

sautee cauliflower and scallions in curry sauce adding stock if dry, till soft

add vegetables and lentils (now soft) to stock

simmer adding seasoning to your liking

let sit overnight (in fridge)

warm up and serve with brown rice crackers, pita, whole wheat tortilla, or just alone!
