the road awaits, new destinations and adventures call, we must answer... so we are setting out this morning to head up our lovely california coast. i just simply adore california.

i was recently honored to put together a little something in the floral way for a friends small, intimate, private and surprise wedding on the beach...here is a glimpse of what I created...the whole idea of her special day was all so very dreamy and lovely...

a dear friend found these pics of me & my little man camping at the beach sometime ago...i forget how fast the time goes and they grow and how precious their little chunky cheeks were and how the world turns and changes and things get hectic sometimes and they learn new ways to drive us nuts and how much they run crazy like wild indians and have the power to break glass with their screams...but i realize from these pics which brought tears to my eyes and yes, made my heart skip a beat...that I never, never forget the amazing love and expanse of my heart when it comes to my wee ones, how my life became whole and my being so real when they arrived in our world, as if, I had somehow been waiting all along for them.

freckled nest home ec online course

i am so excited to share that i have signed up and will be starting this cool and fun online home ec course tomorrow...let the sewing begin! and this certainly is not your old run of the mill class (uggg i remember those blue plaid shorts i made in 10th grade with my strangely serious home ec teacher older than my granny)

as you might remember i wrote here about the lovely tulip, however, she has been slightly neglected and i have been feeling a bit daunted when attempting to do some home made projects without any direction or knowledge of such. so i figured a little outside help and guidance might not be a bad idea. these gals seem to have it all together and are presenting things in a cool and fun manner. So look out for some hip projects...what is that you say? 'sew what?'...well, i say let the fun begin!

have not had too much time to be here lately, and i miss this space very much....but alas, there is much to do and time slips by without warning. so, off to an art show today, wish me luck!
