whole world in his hands...
he plays rugged and runs with the wild things
never has there been a love such as this...
dirt is his second skin
paint on every piece of clothing
he holds the whole world in his hands
rolly polly's are his best friends
calmly he converses with every bug he meets
he is king of many hills
never has there been a love such as this...
and the world is just a better place because of him...
have a delightful weekend.

lined up and ready to go...
these lovelies have been so kind and patient, all lined up and ready to head into the shop...not only will they not ask too much of you, they will be content to just chill out and stand proudly in their wee glass homes...be it hanging from the rafters or sitting on top of your desk, don't be surprised if you find yourself with a little grin on your face, or uttering a giggle for no particular reason at all...that is just how their magic works.
go gently and have a fun friday!

orange you happy?
i am not particularly an orange loving soul...although i do like wee splashes here and there, so i thought it only right to give this color a spot in a recent design...there are many new pieces heading onto the shelves of my little shop by le weekend.
have a lovely day kind folks.

just her...
today was a lovely day...it was a day for our girl, for her art, for her creative, just for her...she is constantly evolving and becoming such a unique individual. her art is amazing, she has her dramatic moments of reaction and interaction (with younger brother) which make us stop in jaw dropping mode and simply wonder 'who the heck is this wee one?'...however, she is wonderful, and on this day it was about her art...on display at a very special art show, and set out for the world (well, at least all that attended; parents and kids, grandparents, aunties and friends) to see...and our hearts swelled at this sight...this piece was done in kindergarten...a wee bit picasso like wouldn't you say?

diy springtime bird feeder
well, spring has sprung and i am not sure where you are, but over here in the countryside not far from the beach there is an abundance of
sun
blooming flowers
shorter sleeves
warmer days
longer days
open windows whilst sleeping
loads of pollen in the air
green fields and blue skies
the anticipation of summer around the corner
and birds
birds

so we thought it would only be right and serve our feathered folk in a kind way so we figured we'd create a lovely bird feeder
which is working quite well to say the least...for sure a local, rather large, very blue bird would contest to happy days and well fed fly by's...so here you go...

1. take one medium to large pinecone
2.slather it with peanut butter of your choosing (meaning you could go the rather inexpensive route or do a higher end organic kind)
3. slather means get it in all the nooks and crannies of that pinecone
4. then roll around in a bowl of universal blend bird seed
5. hang with some fishing line from a visible spot outside a window (we opted for the kitchen) and watch as your home becomes the most popular dining spot in town amongst the lovely flying folk.

flowery fun...
here are some florals which i created for an event with a theme of 'the family tree' using birch as a vase and some rice flowers, green mist, eucalyptus, skeleton leaves scattered within & then lots of creeping willow... the feel was very earthy and natural, sort of like something you might find in the forest & perhaps expect to see a fairy come flying out from within.
Happy Spring!

10 years goes so fast...
ten years ago today was by far one of the very best days of my life...
so many things have come to pass...travels, babies, trials and errors in so many things, wonderful experiences shared, houses, friends, the passing of loved ones, living of life...you get the picture.
here is to 10 more my lovely FZ!

happy weekend
have a lovely weekend,
i am thinking over the next two days, i will...
lay on my back in the grass and find the varying shapes and creatures in the clouds
sip tea all day
start a new craft
hug and kiss small cheeks, toes, hands as much as possible
deliver 23 fresh florals
make fresh guacamole for 50 people
sip on a margarita
feel the pull of the ocean as it crashes then rolls back out to sea
have a bonfire
enjoy the company of friends old and new
look for the green flash as i watch the sunset over the ocean
share in a big celebration for my man FZ's & his best buddy's b-daywhat are you going to do?
bon weekend!
