the right time...

Well, it would seem there really is no better time than a fresh, new year to start fresh creations...so, this is a wee little preview of something sparkling new heading into the shop...

We all have our own, personal, wonderfully unique & special ideas about our lives, loves, desires, goals, talents...you get it...here comes that word again...our own intentions....

and since, in my humble opinion, it is sort of nice to have your special word/idea close at hand to glance at, giggle, remind thyself, be calmed by, stay focused with, and well, just keep on knowing....

so, because i care about your little intended word for the year...i am creating personalized intention tiles and stones....tiles are reclaimed, so not to sit sad and lonely in a local landfill...and well, because there is nothing quite as delightful as the cool, smooth texture of sandstone, all

stones/rocks (not shown here) are lovingly collected for their smooth, raw beauty from the coast of California.

Along with your own unique word or words will come specific favorite color schemes or any other personally significant details just to comfort your wee soul and make you smile.

*Oh and one more delightful side note, all Vintage Kimono Silk Pins in the shop are on sale for January, just because they make any outfit downright beautified and we all deserve a special treat!

back in the saddle...

i'm back...and the shop is open, shelves will soon be adorned with new designs to tickle your fancy and warm your heart...or perhaps just make you giggle for no particular reason at all.

at the end of the day...

after lovelies are dressed up...

prepared for space (in this case)... or other such adventures...

adorned with earthly treasures and armed with all they require...

well, it is at that time in which we sit down and have a spot of tea,
chat about life and hang out...
i do so adore my work

and the beauties that keep me company...

that is where i would like to be sometimes...oh wait...perhaps that is just where i am at times...especially of late, prepping for the show and enjoying it all...there is something so wonderful about music playing, hands making, mind creating, envisioning, dreaming, being somewhere else and making it all real... are you having a good day sweet, kind folk?

have not had too much time to be here lately, and i miss this space very much....but alas, there is much to do and time slips by without warning. so, off to an art show today, wish me luck!

staying grounded...

sometimes at night i wake up and realize i have been dreaming about my hands in the dirt, digging and planting and arranging just so...this is where i find a certain connection for which i cannot define. there is something about creating simple, raw beauty with wee little plants that don't ask very much but bring such shining light wherever they may be.
and for me, when glass surrounds these beauties, somehow makes it all so clear, looking through pieces and really seeing into them makes things seem quite vivid and simply calming.

often, my days are filled with complete chaos and at times i do feel as though it's possible my short haired head will spin off and lodge itself high on a hilltop or catapult itself all the way into space...my work keeps me grounded at times, literally, i am in the earth, a part of the earth...and well, there are no words for how that makes me feel...calm, cool, happy and humbled are a few, i suppose. now, do not get me wrong, my life is lovely, family is undeniably the absolute best love i have ever known...but we all need a little something and well...this, my kind folk is a little bit of it for me...

I really, particularly like this shot because if you look super closely to the left side of this orb's reflection...you can see our new vacation home on wheels...who we still have not found a name to suit her in all her beauty....any suggestions?

orange you happy?

i am not particularly an orange loving soul...although i do like wee splashes here and there, so i thought it only right to give this color a spot in a recent design...there are many new pieces heading onto the shelves of my little shop by le weekend.

Doors are open...come visit the shop...

It is official, my Shop is Open for business, at the moment there are only four pieces listed, but more to come. Not sure what took me so long, had some fears about exposing my creations blahblahblah...and now in prepping for the upcoming show, I am busy creating and enjoying the excitement surrounding my first official art gig.

New designs on the table are mini lifescapes inside table top round terrariums, very cool.

I am still getting used to the idea of shipping my pieces and have some things to learn around that.

My blog will have a new and fresh appearance soon and with summer in full gear, things are looking good.
