just her...

today was a lovely day...it was a day for our girl, for her art, for her creative, just for her...she is constantly evolving and becoming such a unique individual. her art is amazing, she has her dramatic moments of reaction and interaction (with younger brother) which make us stop in jaw dropping mode and simply wonder 'who the heck is this wee one?'...however, she is wonderful, and on this day it was about her art...on display at a very special art show, and set out for the world (well, at least all that attended; parents and kids, grandparents, aunties and friends) to see...and our hearts swelled at this sight...this piece was done in kindergarten...a wee bit picasso like wouldn't you say?

desert dreams...

well, designs are packed and i head out on a road trip to the desert tomorrow, after my lovely FZ returns from surfing, still have to complete orbs for show, and final touches on handful of designs...not sure how my work will be received in the desert, but you just don't know till you go, so off i go.

An Etsy shop update to occur tomorrow a.m. prior to departure, however, here are a few glimpses of new designs to be placed on the shelves this week...stay tuned.

I am sending lovely, heARTful, warm and fuzzy thoughts of kindness and red hot stuff on this valentines to you all...i am not one to buy into the lovey-chocolate-kissey-marketing thing...everyone should feel special and loved everyday, and well sometimes that may not be the case, and so if some folks need a day to do so, well, then so be it, me, i prefer the day to day love that surrounds me, no need for sweet treats and roses (yuck, just a personal note). However, i would like to send love and well wishes for warm and embracing vibes to all this weekend. I will be in the 80 degree desert, soaking all the rays of warm inspiration...will return tuesday with some more meandering and musing.

go gently, stay human and have lovely fun.

Push and Pull

So, I am happy to report that recently I was accepted into the Talmadge Art Show and among a variety of feelings, I am taken by nervousness and excited about this first official show and how my work will be received. The push and pull of creative forces exists so strong within me at times that often I am not sure which is which.

I am hopeful that my designs pull me into their creation
and push me through to what will follow.
I sometimes stand in my studio and wonder what will develop next, and other times I cannot get in there fast enough to work on a new design idea...I suppose that is life.
I had a home accident today and have been left with a soon to be black eye, lovely, and, yes the doorknob really did hit my face! After icing and a Dr. visit, I am fine, little slow and headachish but fine.

I suppose it would not hurt to slow down, and go with the pushing and pulling of this force within...so onward I march, whilst being cautious of doorknobs and puppies.
Have a great day!
