Saddlin up...

I have not been here too much over the past week as these hands have been busy with work...work of a wonderful kind, that is, as I prepare for the show. My heart has been full at times, a bit overwhelmed other times, downright excited much of the time, a little tired sometimes, and just basically feeling happy all over with new designs, fresh ideas, inspirations which keep me surprised and keep knockin' on my door.
I have felt the pull of my roles this week, as I keep in check with all that is important...the wee ones, the husband, the creative calls, well life really. I made time each night for FZ and I to hang, and left my work in the studio, let my mind rest, and reminded my heart that it would be there in the morning and that worked. I stepped out of a race, and took my stride as it came, accepted it for that, and it was all good. I did not fret when last night I had not finished a design and decided to put it up on the shelf, and let it be till I had the time...for the next show. In the last week, I have had many interesting and awe inspiring small occurences which have left me knowing that I am in the right place, every part of my being is taking the path that feels right. I will not detail them, but trust me, one in particular was very special.
So, off I go riding into the unknown tomorrow at dawn, saddling up and facing the fear of exposing my work, not really worried about how it will all be received, but rather that I must do this, it is such a part of who I am.

Thanks for letting me share. Wish me luck and have a delightful day. I will be back very soon, also will post the clip from the news show I was featured on this a.m.;) Fun stuff, I tell you.
Be gentle, wise and have fun.

Coming Out...

Come...
Follow me...
I'm opening the door...
I'm stepping out...
Bringing it all with me...
Setting it out for the world to see...
Sitting quietly, watching, breathing and waiting...

So, my work was welcomed, I had some very moving & amazing, or as I like to say WONDEROUS moments of artistic revelation occur. I turned around at one point to see a woman tearing up while looking closely at one of my designs, (she bought it, I think it reminded her of something special and very significant)...Ok, so that was completely majestic.

Someone defined my work as 'Poetic'...she was French and she explained to me, very beautifully, I might add, that my work made time stop, she defined it as such: 'you look at it and somehow you are captured by the 'stillness' and the living part is so alive, it seems to have stopped in time, but is still growing'. I liked that.
This is living art, small pieces of the most earthly treasures to completly inspire and add whimsey and unique style to any space...
I am energized and so inspired...moving forward feels so very right. We must listen to our hearts, I mean really listen, stop and listen...you will hear it, the voice of what is to be and never has their been a sound so real.

Have a marvelous evening.

A very good, wonderful, especially lovely day for Still Lily...

Creative productivity in full force here.
The gates open and it all just flows beautifully, I must say.
With music playing and hands in motion natural art takes on a life all its own.
As my shelves fill, my heart and soul grow.

I imagine each piece filling a special, unique space...for someone special and unique.

Two weeks and counting till the show ...heading in armed, ready and so happy to share.

Doors are open...come visit the shop...

It is official, my Shop is Open for business, at the moment there are only four pieces listed, but more to come. Not sure what took me so long, had some fears about exposing my creations blahblahblah...and now in prepping for the upcoming show, I am busy creating and enjoying the excitement surrounding my first official art gig.
New designs on the table are mini lifescapes inside table top round terrariums, very cool.
I am still getting used to the idea of shipping my pieces and have some things to learn around that.

My blog will have a new and fresh appearance soon and with summer in full gear, things are looking good.

So come in and visit my wee shop and let me know what you think.
