I watched a flock of pelicans float on the wind and never wished & longed so deeply that I could fly too.
To be up there, one with the wind, so simple, yet so divine.
I walked to the edge
looked down
looked out
there it was
I stretched out my arms
and reached long
to find I could fly
all along it was there
waiting to be released
