Superheroes have dogs too...

Dressing up is a part of everyday life here and it is quite an enthusiastic ritual each time. A new adventure is around each corner and everyday brings us new travels, friends, villains to conquer and such.

Here is my superhero SZ and his two partners in keeping the peace Luke the Duke, & Molly they are all three best buddies and the furry ones are always game to play along with any adventure.

Here's to days of fun and dreams, may we all stay young in our hearts.

One more piece from the heart...

So, in keeping with my inspired photo session from Friday last week, I am posting yet another piece which (as Seussical as it might be, that is what FZ says) was looking sharp and happy in the right light...Oh, that light, I now very much respect the light!

Take a peek, yep, I know a bit out of the norm, but hey you gotta listen to the soul, or at least the voices that hang out with the soul!

Don't be afraid to leave a comment, I love them!

Having fun in Whoville...

Ode to a Dad...wherever you might be...

My Dad is not here, for that I am sad...

...on Father's Day it brings it all home even more.

I kept busy today with work and life,
but made my way to a special place to remember and give Thanks for what was a great man and what is a great life...
I now watch as my husband and Dad of two paves a path that is lined with so much wonder and leads to so much hope...it's that special bond that only Dad's can offer and we hold on tight when we have been witness to such love.
Sitting with sun on my face, wind in hair, seeing what is now around me, because of my Dad.. makes me smile, stirs up amazment, so I take photos and try to express in words what a heart feels...
Happy Dad's Day.

Heart in hands

These little beauties are loving their new orb home...well who would not like to float in mid air, suspended in time and soaking sunlight as you swirl and spin?

Just some peaceful thoughts for the weekend!

Ta Daaaa....

Oh, women are so wise...this we know.

I was enlightened, inspired and insighted (is that a word?) by my dear friend this evening and so, now, please be my guest to view firsthand what comes from a lesson in light, a meeting of minds and some bubbly-brie-backyard-babbling...what a lovely treat, would enjoy to partake in anyday...

Light...the right light...absolutely brilliant light...Now, I see the light.

Stay tuned there is so much more to come.

C'est Moi

I am often plagued by the fear of exposing my work and sharing with the world what I am doing...I must overcome and so, in an effort to capture my work for what it really is (I have so far not been able to do so with my photography skills),
I am enlisting the help of a dear friend, and most talented photographer Jennifer Dery.
So, you are wondering 'Why does this post not have any pictures?'...well, that is precisely the problem, I have none worthy...so far.
Tomorrow will be the day when my work is caught red handed on film in the most eloquent of ways and so you will have to return for follow up photos and first time viewings.
Join me as I begin the journey down this path which calls to me at all hours to venture and roam, listening to the soul that beakons art in new and natural forms...I go.
Sometimes dark and covered in trees, sometimes hard to see from all the roadblocks that pop up and all the diversions called life, but I step up and move out as I follow my heart...I am excited, scared, hesitant, curious, doubtful but hopeful all at the same time to see where these roads lead. So, I hold on tight to what I believe and carry this head high, face the wind and find what I may along the way.
Have a splendid evening!

Kid dip

No, I am not talking about taking the kids swimming (although that is a part of our everyday schedule these days)...I am by no means a chef, I like to dabble and work to make a variety of foods for my two little ones which is a challenge in itself. Here is a recipe for a dip that I think sounds good and easy and edible for little picky munchers. I am going to make it tonight so if it is awful I will delete this post and that will be that.

I get away with serving lots of veggies as I give a wee bowl of dip to accompany every bite, so this appealed to me:
1 16oz. can garbanzo beans rinsed and drained
1/4 cup ranch dressing (I like Trader Joes natural kind)
3 Tbsp. warm water
1 Tbsp. lemon juice
1 clove garlic ( I would go lighter for sensitive tastes)
1 red bell pepper, cut into strips
baby carrots, cucumber, any veggie of choice
pitas cut into wedges (I would shape into animal forms with cookie cutter)
1. Combine garbanzo beans, salad dressing, water, lemon juice and garlic in food processor (golly I love my Cuisineart food processor)
2. Process until smooth
3. Serve as dip with veggies and pita

Sit back and watch as they devour!

This is the first time I have posted a recipe, but I think when I come across something I would like to share I will place it up here for all to enjoy!
